02. SAFETY LADDERS WITH SLIDER
01. SAFETY LADDERS WITH BACK PROTECTION
EKOguard SAFELAD 1
Basic measures:
- Ladders are usually developed "in one piece", up to 12 meters (due to transport to installation place issues). Longer ladders are developed in segments – during the installation segments are attached one to another until reaching desired length.
GMAX – MAXIMUM LOAD ON SINGLE LADDER SEGMENT
|
300 kg
|
Application:
- Ladders are installed on manhole entry points, chamber and similar, in order to enable safe descent to the depth, or approach to the facilities.
02. SAFETY LADDERS WITH SLIDER
EKOguard SAFELAD 2
Basic measures:
- Ladders are usually developed "in one piece" up to 3 meters in lenght. Longer ladders are developed in segments – during the installation segments are attached one to another until reaching desired length.
GMAX – MAXIMUM LOAD ON SINGLE LADDER SEGMENT
|
300 kg
|
Application:
- Safety ladders with slider are installed in all vertical accesses due to safe descent into manhole or ascent into high points (different manholes: watersupply, sewage,..)
- Since these ladders do not have back protection, it is appropriate to be installed into spaces where there is not enough room to install ladders with back protection
1. Safety belt and slider
- Person using these ladders has to have helmet and security (strap) belt with shackle in the chests area. Using security bond, tight bonding of slider and belt can be performed.
- Slider has characteristic profile with slots same as the guide slot, so there is no possibility for slider to fall from the guide, during its movement along the mounting. Thus, slider fully secures the person from falling to the back (same as the ladders with back protection)
2. Portable handrail
- Before the descent down the ladders, portable handrail is installed on the top of the ladders. Handrail is 1000 mm high; with central guide of the same profile as the ladders guide.
- After inserting slider into portable handrail guide, person can use ladders in a safe way. After the person passes handrail guide, sliders continues to slide on the ladder guide.
3. Central guide and steps
- On the central guide evenly are welded anti sliding steps and the bearers used to fix the ladders to the vertical area, wall.
- Step perforations have sharp outer edge, pointed upwards, so the stepping surface is rugged (anti sliding). Besides that, on the step finishes there are welded edge tablets used to stop accidental foot sliding outside the steps.
